It was inhabited thousands of years before the Spanish settlers arrived, and the more you dig into the history of it, the more there is to learn.

Key Lime Pie – Although you can purchase a key lime pie in other areas, if you want the real McCoy, you will have to come to Florida. If you’re looking for the most authentic key lime pie, head to the southernmost point of the United States in Key West. The key lime tree first arrived in the area in the 1500s and since that time, it has made some of the most delicious pies in the world.

Theme parks – It doesn’t matter if you are a child or if you are a senior citizen, there is something to enjoy with the Florida theme parks. Some people may consider Busch Gardens in Tampa, Florida, but don’t forget the grandfather of all theme parks, Walt Disney World. You could spend a considerable amount of time park hopping in the area.
